Void

There she was, empty and fulfilled at the same time.

Why? You'd asked.

Because there she was, achieving every dream that she had since she was six. Literally everything, except the fact that no, she didn’t marry Prince Charming or perhaps even kissed a frog that happens to be a prince in enchantment. But yes, she did own a big fat house (no thanks to hard work ofc, that was her father's), but yes, she did start her own company. Likely to be named after her own because why not but instead she named it 'Lily', as for being her late mother's name. And yes, she was living what someone else would describe 'A parfait', 'A perfect life'.

She managed almost everything on her own, paid every loan by her own pay money, aced every scholarship and job interviews, she even started her own bakery, Lily's Pattiserrie. Well, technically everything. Except for that one time when she needed to change a flat tire in the middle of nowhere and that's the only thing she ever needed somebody else's help and oh boy, how she felt helpless that time.

Since then she asked herself, I did almost everything by myself in life but I can't even make myself change a freaking flat tire. So she decided to learn…

On how to change a flat tire,

On how to check if all the components in the engine are tip top,

On how to clean the oil part thingy on the car,

Well, she practically learns how to manage her way through if in any cases that her car would be acting up.

But that's not all she learned tho,

She even learned her way through a breakup by reading Cecelia Aherns' novels. You know, hoping there's a better ending to everything.

And she seems to learn her way through romance as well, watching Letters to Juliet over and over and over again. Or perhaps crying herself to sleep after watching The Notebook for the 346574th time.

But deep within, she knew she had missed something in life. Something major, something that a girl like her wouldn't have missed it, considering the fact that she was a sucker for romance novels and films.

She knew exactly what she was missing.

Love.

Okay, I know I said breakups and romance thingy but hey let's face it. The only heartbreak she's ever (had to) gone through was that time when Justin Bieber finally married Hailey Baldwin not once but twice. Not to mention the 10,000 Hours song debut for her.

And the only time she's ever fallen in love was that time when Jake Taylor finally wrote Gabriella Diaz a love letter like Firefly and Lion did in Falling Inn Love movie.

Of course she had a little crush on Noah or even Marco from The Kissing Booth 2 but good old Mr Reality here's to remind us that being all lovey-dovey with a fictional character won't get you anywhere girl, nah-uh.

That's probably the extent of her romance life, else than that, nah.

So, there she was again, empty and fulfilled at the same time.
